ES Food Innovation & Management (ESFIM) is the company owned by Elvire Schlösser. ESFIM offers inspiring Food Innovation Leadership on an interim or consultancy basis.

What I do

I fulfill interim senior management positions in the food industry in Innovation and R&D. The roles and responsibilities are in the area of Line Management, Portfolio and Project Management or Change Management (Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner).

Examples of roles I fulfill include:

Innovation Project Manager

In this role, I lead one or multiple complex projects. I take care of the project management, such as a professional set up and monitoring of governance, the timeline and risk & issue management. This includes focus on high performance of the team members and clear and timely communication to stakeholders.

Interim Head of Innovation

These are interim senior line management roles at Manager or Director level, being accountable for the innovation portfolio and line management of a team.
These roles are also called interim R&D Manager, R&D Director, NPD Manager, NPD Director, Innovation Manager or Innovation Director.

Consultant

As a consultant I can do a wide variety of activities. These can be part of an interim role at that moment or it can be an independent assignment.
Examples include moderating risk assessments or kick-off sessions, as well as providing training and facilitating workshops.

About Elvire

“Choose trust and kindness”

My passion is to inspire people by choosing trust and kindness. I believe in collaboration and teamwork. I choose to interact with each other rather than against each other.
On my Stories page I share some of my insights and experiences.

My background lies in Food Technology (Wageningen University & Research) and I have gained a broad and international experience in R&D, marketing, project management and leadership. My employers and clients include start-up companies, family owned business and multinationals in the food industry. My career summary can be found on LinkedIn.

Self-employed

Variety, new environments and personal growth are important to me. In 2015, I founded ES Food Innovation & Management (ESFIM), which made it possible to work independently.

Characteristic for my way of working are giving trust to the people I work with, an open mindset and a high energy level. I connect the commercial and technical functions in multidisciplinary teams. People value my strength to generate multiple solutions based on different perspectives.

Outside work

I do high-intensity interval workouts and I love hiking and enjoying nature. I like to spend time together with my family and friends, while sharing food at home or in a friendly and welcoming restaurant.

Also, I enjoy travelling and I have wonderful memories of our trips to the Galapagos Islands, Namibia and New York.
